Our own thought patterns effect the health of our body. Each emotional thought pattern is really an underlying \\\\\\\"cause\\\\\\\" of a physical illness, understanding the illness can help you address the cause and thereby riding the body of the disease.

These thought patterns we set up within our consciousness find their control over our subconscious mind through a form of grief. Even if it seems to be a tiny issue, there is an element of loss and grief within the situation. By identifying what the grief component is, we can begin the process of healing from the loss and find a better way to think about who we are, our life and our place in the spiritual universe.

One way to help bring about change in your life it so focus on replacing negative thinking with positive thinking through affirmations. Affirmations are a way of reprogramming the subconscious to think differently and to automatically react in a more positive way when trigger situations occur in your life. You can read Affirmations Evolving The Spirit to learn more about how to change negative patterns, how to create your own affirmation and how to use affirmations in your daily life.

If you find one of these underlying causes hits home with something you\\\\\\\'re suffering and you\\\\\\\'re interested in the specific affirmation for that ailment, send me an email and I\\\\\\\'ll send you the affirmation. My intention here is to provide an alternative way of thinking that might help people understand why they are fighting an illness.

HOW BIG IS YOUR SACK OF EMOTIONAL PAIN?

grief ~ anxiety ~ depression ~ sadness ~ fear ~ shame ~ humilation ~ unhappy relationships ~ betrayal ~ regret ~ loneliness ~ low confidence ~ guilt ~ frustration ~ feeling stuck or held back

A teacher once asked her students to each bring to school a sack of potatoes. For every painful experience they could recall, and for every person they could not forgive in their life, each student had to choose a potato and then carve into it the name of the incident and the date of the occurance.

For an entire month the students were required to carry around their personalized sack of potatoes at all times. It lay beside their bed at night, sat with them at lunch and on the bus, and while they were with friends

The hassle of lugging around this load soon made it profoundly clear what a weight they were carrying around emotionally. The people whose names were inscribed on the potatoes were not in the least affected by the heavy burden

It seemed a rather high price to pay to hold onto people, situations and emotions that were of no positive value in their lives. The students began to see forgiveness and letting go as a gift to themselves, rather than a gift to others

We all carry emotional baggage to varying degrees--painful childhood memories, grief over the loss of a loved one, the devastation of a marriage or relationship break up, the trauma of physical or sexual violation. Who hasn\\\\\\\'t suffered rejection, betrayal, hardship, failure, shame, longing, guilt, loss of self-esteem, or sorrow to some degree?

It\\\\\\\'s easier to believe there is a way around experiencing sorrow, that we can avoid pain and lose nothing of the fullness and joy of living. What I have come to realize is that it is not pain that hurts us most. It is resistance to pain that wears us out. We fear it, fight it, run from it, ignore it or try to bury it

It takes a lot more energy to store pain than it does to confront it. The tension and effort of bracing shut the doors of our emotional storage vault eventually takes its toll in physical terms

\\\\\\\"A wound not fully felt consumes from the inside. We must run very hard if we want to stay one step ahead of this pain\\\\\\\" Oriah Mountain Dreamer

It\\\\\\\'s no wonder so many people feel tired, listless, and in pain all the time. Sadly, when you live with low energy long enough, it begins to feel normal and you lose the memory of how to feel great

So many people have forgotten what it feels like to have vitality, energy and enthusiasm, and to look forward to each day. We\\\\\\\'re here to help you regain your joy and vitality!

MEASURING EMOTIONS

Emotions are simply a form of energy that runs through your body like an electrical current. Each emotion has its own measurable energy frequency

Basic instinctive emotions such as anger and fear resonate in the same frequency range as the colour red. Anger and fear are part of your survival mechanisms. Your root chakra resonates at this frequency

Unconditional love resonates at the same frequency as ultra-violet light. It is the highest visible frequency. Your Thymus (located just above below your throat) resonates at this frequency. Still higher than unconditional love in frequency are the emotions of faith, gratitude, and joy. They resonate in your pituitary area within your head. Your pituitary is thought to be a conduit to universal energies

THE PHYSICAL IMPACT As the electrical current of an emotion travels along your neural pathways, it triggers the release of chemical proteins called neuro-peptides (NPs). Each emotion has a different frequency. In response to these individual frequencies, your body releases corresponding NP\\\\\\\'s.

These tiny chemical proteins communicate chemical messages throughout your body, creating a physiological response. Adrenalin, hormones, oxytoxin, endorphins, these are all examples of NPs. Each neuro-peptide creates such specific biological responses, that physical symptoms can actually pinpoint what’s really happening in your unconscious mind..For instance, happiness, joy, laughter, and orgasms cause the release of endorphins. Endorphins are powerful opiates that make you feel good. They boost your immune system, relax muscles, elevate your mood, and dampen pain

Adrenalin, cortisol and norepinephrine releases when you feel fear, anxiety or stress. They cause your heart to beat faster, and blood vessels to dilate, making your skin flush. Rapid, shallow breathing ensues. Muscles tighten, especially around the stomach and shoulder area.

The purpose of adrenalin is to place your body in a high-alert rapid-response flight-or-flight state. In emergencies, this is beneficial, as it aids escape. But, over a long period, adrenalin can be very damaging to your body. It suppresses your immune system, impairs digestion, uses up vital vitamins and minerals, causes pain and stiffness, makes your body acidic resulting in inflammation, and drains vitality

And, adrenalin is highly addictive. Your body becomes accustomed to over-stimulation over time, and eventually needs it to maintain higher energy levels. Those who have experienced extended periods of adrenal overload from childhood, such as those who grew up in homes with an achoholic or critical parent, or those who experienced physical or verbal abuse, will often unconsciously create crises in their lives to get another adrenalin rush. Or, they may crave sugar or foods to which they are allergic, as these also stimulate the adrenal gland

Studies have shown that negative emotions actually weaken your body, while positive emotions strengthen your body. Shame has the most devastating effect, followed by guilt, apathy, grief, fear, anxiety, craving, anger and hate

Since your body/mind/spirit are all connected, negative emotions reflect in your face and change the appearance of eyes, expression, skin texture, color and tension

So, negative emotions really DO cause disease and illness and pre-mature aging!

Powerful emotions such as pain, fear, grief, disappointment, panic, anxiety, anger, and longing, shock your body like an electrical charge, leaving scars or lesions along your neural pathways. This disrupts your body\\\\\\\'s natural energy flow

According to Dr David Suzuki, condensed molecules from breath exhaled from verbal expressions of anger, hatred, and jealousy, contain toxins. Accumulated over 1 hr, these toxins are enough to kill 80 guinea pigs! Anger damages the liver and gall bladder. Anger toward another person is like taking poison and expecting someone else to die!

It doesn\\\\\\\'t help to hold back or deny your emotions. The very nature of energy is movement. When you bury or control your feelings, their energy can\\\\\\\'t flow outward properly and dissipate naturally. You may think you have controlled how you felt, but the energy of it is still at work

Suppressing emotions uses up a lot of energy, which robs your body of energy that should be used for vital functions. Negative emotions tax your adrenal glands and use up nutrients the body needs to sustain itself. The result is fatigue and lowered vitality...

Energy has to move. If an emotion isn\\\\\\\'t expressed (outward movement), it is suppressed (inward movement). The result of controlling or stifling emotional energy is frustration, anger, depression, physical pain, control issues, emotional \\\\\\\'shut-down\\\\\\\', or self-sabotage. Self-judgement, low self-esteem and unworthiness may develop. This inhibits your ability to create or receive what you really want in life. You learn to expect little joy in your life and settle for less than your soul needs to flourish

HOW YOUR BODY TALKS TO YOU
Psycho-neuro-immunology is the study of how emotions impact your health and well-being. Thoughts create, not only in the sense that your thoughts motivate you to action, but also that every thought or feeling creates your state of health and well-being.

This startling new awareness has resulted in the emergence of a whole new field of medicine called \\\\\\\'energy-psychology\\\\\\\'

Here\\\\\\\'s what we now know ....

  • An imbalance between your rational mind and your emotions will cause digestive upset, constipation, diarrhea or digestive disorders. That\\\\\\\'s because your mental \\\\\\\'digestion\\\\\\\' or assimilation process is mirrored by your body\\\\\\\'s physical assimilation process
  • Resentment and bitterness are like acid. They cause inflammation and pain. Stubborn, inflexible resentment goes to the knees and joints--the parts of your body that are designed to be open and flexible
  • Arthritis is bottled-up hurt
  • Cancer is a deep secret, hatred, guilt, or grief \\\\\\\'eating away\\\\\\\' at you. Breast and uterine cancer reveals a lack of nurturing or self-nurturing in your life, or an inability to nurture others
  • Back pain reveals feeling a lack of support. Lumbar back pain points to lack of financial support. Thoracic back pain shows no emotional support or love. Middle back pain is carrying the weight of the past

Negative emotions have a more dense, slower vibration and are \\\\\\\'heavier\\\\\\\', so they sink to the lower parts of your body. Your legs, calves and feet store much of your trauma, resentment, jealousy, and emotional pain, both past and present

HOW TO SAFELY RELEASE EMOTIONS

Pent-up emotions can be released through the feet. Take off your shoes and walk barefoot in the grass. Walk along a beach, especially an ocean beach or beside water falls where negative ions are released into the air by the moving water. Negative ions are healing and emotionally uplifting. No ocean? Soak your feet in epsom salts and hot water or have a Reiki or Reflexology treatment!

Smile, even if you don\\\\\\\'t feel it. The act of smiling changes your body chemistry. You\\\\\\\'ll suddenly feel happier! Laughter is also a great emotional release! Laughter releases chemical endorphins to make you feel happy and relaxed.

Physical exercise, strenuous labour, or sports activities help to dissipate emotional energy and release it harmlessly. Physical activities trigger the release of endorphins to make you feel good. Exercise helps expel physical and emotional toxins. When you exert yourself, you breathe more deeply, getting added oxygen. People who are in emotional or physical pain tend to breathe very shallow. Your body becomes acidic when deprived of oxygen, which reduces your ability to cope with stress

Meditation is an ideal tool to achieve serenity and balance between your brain\\\\\\\'s left and right hemispheres. Meditation slows your brain waves to an alpha stste of 7.8-11htz. This provides a direct link to your subconscious mind. It\\\\\\\'s rather like hacking into the universe\\\\\\\'s software. Meditation directly opens you to wisdom and inspiration far beyond analytical modes

Hypnosis uses a meditative alpha state to access your subconscious mind and re-program it.

Are you ready for a \\\\\\\'life makeover\\\\\\\'? For most people, how you WANT your life to be, and how it IS may be far apart. Longing and wishing for something better achieves nothing. You need to take ACTION.
